Diamond dove are one of the smallest dove kept today The measure 6-8 inch's and originally came from Australia. They are a peaceful birds and make a great addiction to almost any aviary
Diamonds can stand freezing temperatures for a day or two but it is best to provide a heat source (i.e. heat lamp). Best if kept in small to medium sized flights but will also easily breed with single pairs in cages 2' x 2' x 2' or similar. They do well with a quality finch mix. Diamonds tend to prefer white millet which should be mixed equal parts with the finch mix. |
